Isn't it possible for Americans? I thought it may be possible via another country (e.g. Canada). So you need to avoid to fly in from the US. But still it is probably more tricky...

At the time I was there I wasn't that heavily into photography. It was more the case of snap shooting or pin pointing the camera at everything odd or semi interesting. At the time I didn't know a lot about composition or anything technical. Only after the holiday the desire of a more proper equipment and knowledge came up, although sometime I would like to go back to be more ingeneous times from a photographic point of view. You know what I mean I guess ;)

Yes...i know what you mean.
i was going through some old photos from the 70s:shh:...and while the focus was on what was upfront...i am blown away by the wonderful street subjects in the backgroud...totally!!!! missed opportunities.
But we learn and move on.

one can travel to cuba via another country--but--one must have the extra cash to do so.
So--its sort of downer to actually do it.
there was this street photographer here for a while who had some amazing photos of Cuba....not sure if he is still here.

i can always opt to shoot little havana...but--i feel really bad about taking photos of immigrants...as most are so afraid of having their ids revealed.

I've browsed quickly through my snapshots and uploaded another picture from Cuba. ;)

Go to Little Havana and try to get interesting shots without revealing the ids of the people. That sounds like a challenge! :D
